You'll find flywheels of different moments of 'Inertia-machined from solid stock for perfect balance. This "Asymmetry" eliminates common-mode resonance. And, Nakamichi transports are fabricated from materials that have been especially selected and treated to absorb motor vibration and prevent its transference to the tape.
