This Nakamichi Cassette Deck 1 is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B and C noise reduction, it was first sold by Nakamichi in 1990 with a recommended retail price of USD $879 and discontinued 2 years later in 1992.

The main features of the Nakamichi Cassette Deck 1 are: 3 discrete heads and off-tape monitoring, digital tape counter with 4 digits, manual tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome and metal tapes with automatic equalization selection, dual-capstan transport driven by a gear.
