Bridging Adaptor
The extremely well balanced, low distortion COMPLETE MIRROR push pull circuitry employed in the Nakamichi 420 and 620 Power Amplifiers results in the ability to bridge the left and right channels to form a single channel (monaural) power amplifier with greatly increased output.
The BA-150 is a phase inverting bridging adaptor which is inserted between the preamplifier and two Nakamichi power amplifiers to provide full stereo bridged operation. The resulting increase in power is obtained without sacrifice in other power amplifier performance parameters, such as distortion and stability. Since not all power amplifiers can be safely bridged, the BA-150 is not recommended for use with non Nakamichi power amplifiers unless otherwise indicated by the manufacturer. Bridged Nakamichi Power Amplifiers should not be used with loudspeakers rated below 8 ohms.
