The 660ZX is the result of Nakamichi's commitment to make 680ZX and 670ZX sound available at an economical price.

Technical specifications frequency response, signal to noise ratio, distortion, wow and flutter are identical to those of the 670ZX! Direct off tape monitoring is not provided, however, the same Discrete 3 Head Technology and AutoAzimuth Alignment system are used. Not only will the 660ZX automatically adjust recordhead azimuth for the cassette in use, but Dolby calibration can be performed without rewinding the tape. RAMM, one touch Rec Mute, Manual Cueing, and all remote control features are also provided.
